Printer Ink Cartridge Recycling - Mail-in cartridges

When your existing cartridge is empty, place it in the mailer, complete the return address label, and put it in the mail. No postage is necessary. Keep your Inkmail customer receipt number for each mailer you send in. This number is located inside the mailer and is required for any questions you may have regarding your mailer.

When your print cartridge is received at the recycling center it is professionally cleaned and refilled with quality ink. The cartridge is then print-tested, sealed in a protective bag and shipped back.

You receive your recycled cartridge in the mail and use it until it runs out of ink and you are ready to recycle again with a new mailer.

Allow 10-15 business days for the entire process to take place.

What cartridges can be recycled? You can recycle your Canon, Compaq, HP, Lexmark, Brother, and Xerox ink jet or toner cartridges using the recycling service. Please keep in mind that only cartridges with permanent ink tanks may be recycled. Make sure to consult the list below to see if your cartridge is recyclable.
Note: Recycling mailers do not include empty cartridges. You must have an empty ink jet or toner cartridge available.

Changes in air pressure during shipping can cause small amounts of ink to leak from the cartridge into the protective bag that holds it. This does not harm the cartridge and it does not mean that the cartridge will leak in use. If this happens to you, just dampen a paper towel with water and clean the cartridge before placing it into your printer. To prolong the life of the cartridge after you receive it back from recycling keep it in the sealed bag until you are ready to use it. Keeping the cartridge in the bag will prevent exposure to air that will dry the ink in the cartridge. If you do remove it from the sealed bag before using, make sure to store it in a zip-lock bag.

Not all cartridges are serviceable. Some cartridges are worn out, as all inkjet cartridges eventually wear out. Each cartridge is cleaned, filled and print tested. If a cartridge does not pass the print tests it is deemed unserviceable. There will be no replacement of the cartridge or a refund. You will get a new mailer for use with your next empty cartridge.

4Inkjets says: Inkjet recycling mailers are warranted by their manufacturer. Each remanufactured cartridge is covered by a 180-day warranty. The warranty begins as soon as your cartridge is recycled. If your cartridge develops printing problems or stops working during the warranty period, immediately contact 4Inkjets for a replacement cartridge. IMPORTANT: 4Inkjets does not provide any additional warranty to the ink cartridge recycling service, and will not replace any defective cartridge that has been recycled by them.

Remanufactured or compatible cartridges cannot be sent for recycling. Only OEM brand cartridges, and cartridges previously recycled by Inkmail can be used.
Each mailer purchase is good for one cartridge use only.
4Inkjets does not accept recycled cartridges, opened mailers, used mailers, or "unserviceable cartridge" replacement mailers as returns.
OEM: OEM means Original Equipment Manufacturer, such as Canon, Hewlett Packard etc.
